Ghosts of the Haunted Tay Railway Bridge

Tay rail disaster


It is said that the location of the Tay Railway Bridge disaster of 28th December 1879 is haunted by a ghostly train that appears on the anniversary of the disaster.

The Tay Bridge disaster occurred during a violent storm when the first Tay Rail Bridge collapsed while the Wormit to Dundee train was passing over it from, killing all 70 passengers aboard.
